Run by Producers Gemma Wilks, David Godfrey and David Rogers, AMP is a new film company created to bring a diverse range of feature films to the big screen.
Our projects have been chosen carefully to be highly entertaining and therefore potentially highly profitable – either with a great Creative Team onboard or a brilliant script already written (or at least a cracking first-draft nearing completion). This then provides a solid base to achieve an excellent ROI for investors. If a screenplay doesn’t have us laughing, crying or wanting to turn the page to see what happens next – then it doesn’t get onto our slate. We’re looking for the next big thing, mid-budget to high-concept / high budget, from all genres: thriller, horror, rom-coms and especially family-friendly films.
Gemma Wilks is a Chartered Accountant turned film producer based on the South coast of England. The main projects she is presenting are The Giant Under The Snow – a family fantasy film based on the book by John Gordon which she’s raising finance for. And Skullz, a family feature film which is completed and looking for distribution.
Gemma represents Amplitude films which has a slate of films in development across a variety of genres (Thriller, Family, Horror, Drama, Musical) as well as 3 TV projects supporting a local director.
Gemma is also representing Cloner for TF Film Productions, a sci-fi thriller looking for a sales agent/film making partners.
David hails from a background of producing and directing music videos for Asylum and Booker Newberry III, amongst others, which have been shown worldwide. He has been the driving force behind The Giant Under The Snow, bringing together a world-class team to develop the much-loved 1968 novel into an exciting feature film for the whole family to enjoy.
Having been the Pinewood Group’s Director of International Operations, David is now the ‘go-to’ world expert for designing and managing screen-based media facilities. He was involved with building Wanda Studios Qingdao in China, the world’s largest studio facility, and the tilt-up stages at Pinewood Atlanta. Having worked for Tony and Ridley Scott amongst many others, David brings a huge wealth of knowledge and contacts to the AMP team.
